- Kinder has updated its popular Animal Adventures licence with the introduction of 21 new toys, eight stickers and eight cards
- The materials inspired by African wildlife encourage children to develop through play
- Comprehensive launch programme and materials available from Ferrero to support retailers
Kinder, the leading kids confectionery brand[1], is bringing its popular Animal Adventures line back for a second year, following the popular launch with South American-themed toys. Taking inspiration this time from African wildlife, the joint licence will again run across the Kinder Surprise and Chocolate range to give children of all ages informative toys, stickers or cards.
Shoppers can expect to see 21 new toys added to the Kinder Surprise range. The toys utilise tailored materials and functions to improve the physical play experience. Consumers will also benefit from a new, digital platform which brings the toys to life. New animals to be featured include the popular elephant, hippo and giraffe, as well as different species of primates, wild cats, and birds of prey.
In addition, eight stickers or cards will become available within the Kinder Chocolate range. Each promotional multipack comes with one of eight stickers (Kinder Chocolate small bars) or cards (medium bars), which provide fun facts and stats about the featured animal.
Levi Boorer, Customer Development Director for Ferrero UK & Ireland, said: “We know that playing is good for a child’s development, especially when elements of that play include different textures, colours and characters. Kinder is the number one brand for awareness with its audience1, so it is important that we continue to offer toys that excite families and enhance their playing experience.
“Shoppers responded very positively to the Animal Adventures range last year, so we are confident that the updated line up of toys, stickers and cards, alongside the eye-catching packaging and point-of-sale materials available to retailers, will appeal to families once again.”
A dedicated suite of Animal Adventures POS materials, including pre-filled shippers and countertop units, will be available to help retailers raise awareness and grow penetration, with digital integration of the materials allowing shoppers to bring the toys to life in store and generate excitement at the point of purchase.
The Animal Adventures licence will roll out on existing SKUs from September onwards, featuring on Kinder Surprise (singles and three-packs), as well as Kinder Chocolate small bars (eight- and 16-packs) and Kinder Chocolate medium bars (six-packs).
