Kerry Foods has strengthened its partnership with SIG Combibloc as it launches a new range of premium desserts for Tesco this month.

Five new ready-to-serve long life desserts, packaged in combiblocCompact 500ml aseptic carton packs, have been launched.  The range comprises Tesco Long Life Single Cream and Double Cream Alternative, Tesco Finest Custard, Tesco Finest Brandy Sauce and Tesco Finest Rum Sauce. The new products complement cakes and puddings perfectly, for the festive season and beyond.

Using SIG Combibloc’s flexible filling technology, Kerry Foods has been able to fill the new range of products on a single filling machine with quick and efficient changeover of pack volume and design. Optimal product protection, stackability and long life storage will benefit both retailer and consumer during the busiest shopping period of the year.

Cindy Haast, Marketing Manager Europe North at SIG Combibloc, commented: “We’re delighted to be extending our dessert offering with Kerry Foods with this new range for Tesco. Our partnership with Kerry Foods spans many years.”

Cindy continued: “Desserts packaged in our aseptic carton packs give the consumer important everyday convenience, especially during the hectic festive period when fridges are often full to capacity. Our easy to open carton packs can be kept in kitchen cupboards, ready to serve at any time.”

Owen Gahan, Operations Manager at Kerry Foods, commented: “In our factory we apply the gentle aseptic process offered by SIG Combibloc, which guarantees high product quality and a longer shelf life. Demand for a wide variety of premium quality long life desserts in carton packs continues to increase, and this new launch for Tesco demonstrates our commitment to providing our customers and their consumers with consistent high quality products in easy to use packaging formats.”

The new range of Tesco desserts, in eye catching lifestyle packaging, is launched in store this month.
