This August, Marks & Spencer stores nationwide introduced itsu’s brilliant’broth into its well-loved stir fry deal; a range of Japanese-inspired broths sure to breathe new life into Asian cooking at home. itsu’s brilliant’broth is perfect for ramen and so much more, making thousands of restaurant quality ‘bowl meals’ in minutes.
Available in two flavours [chicken and classic ramen], brilliant’broth couldn’t be easier to use – simply heat and pour over cooked ingredients or add ingredients directly to the broth as it heats. To accompany the broths as part of its stir fry meal deal, M&S offers a delicious selection of noodles, vegetables and protein, allowing customers to create a ramen dinner for 2, for only £6. Choices include Rainbow Vegetables, British Chicken Breasts, King Prawns and Chilli & Coriander Noodles. The broths can also be enjoyed with just about anything you have in your fridge, cupboard or freezer: fresh greens, an egg, pulled meat, chilli flakes, itsu gyoza…anything goes!

Chicken ramen uses British roast chicken and vegetables, blended together with spices, mirin, sesame and a hint of chilli for a warming, Asian-inspired broth.
Classic ramen is essential for a truly authentic Japanese ramen. An adaptation of the popular ‘tsuyu’ broth, using ‘dashi’ from Japan, mirin rice wine and soy sauce to create a delicate, umami-rich flavour.
The launch is timely. Lockdown has caused a resurgence in home cooking from scratch, which has seen many replicating their favourite restaurant dishes at home, and an overwhelming 89%[1] of the UK is vowing to continue this trend as we head into the ‘new normal’.
