Arriving in Britain from Goa, as hospitality re-opens and optimism abounds, Third Eye Distillery has today announced an exclusive partnership with strategic drinks distribution and brand development agency, Sip and Savour, to grow its presence in the UK and shake up the gin market with their Indian spirited gin – Stranger & Sons.

Early innovators in the Indian craft gin world, Stranger & Sons was launched in 2018 as a celebration of the agricultural diversity, entrepreneurial spirit and the rather wonderfully strange traditions of India. Made from inherently Indian botanicals, Stranger & Sons Gin captures the essence of contemporary India in every bottle for a curious and discerning consumer in the UK.

The brand was declared one of the eight best gins in the world in 2020 by the International Wine & Spirit Competition, which also helped them achieve their dream of putting spirits from India on the world map. Out of 800 brands that participated last year, Stranger & Sons won the Gold-Outstanding and was the only Indian brand to be recognised by the IWSC.

From getting picked as the first Indian brand for the prestigious Craft Gin Club to their most recent Master Medal at The Asian Spirit Masters 2021 and Gold Medal at The Drinks Business and Spirits Business Spring Tasting 2021, they’ve had an eventful journey so far!

UK distribution

Stranger & Sons Gin will be distributed exclusively through Sip and Savour’s trusted on- and off-trade network, which includes some of the UK’s best bars, off-trade venues, restaurants as well as through online channels including behemoth retailer, Amazon.

Sakshi Saigal, co-founder of Third Eye Distillery says:

“We are thrilled to be bringing our award-winning Stranger & Sons Gin from India to claim its place on Britain’s gin map. Our goal is to ignite a celebration of Indian culture in all its glory and reveal the might of what is truly an Indian gin in both name and nature.”

“With the experts at Sip and Savour on our side, we feel this union will give us the best opportunity to claim a space that is rightly ours and start stirring up interest in our inaugural liquid while paving the way for further launches in coming months.”

Sip and Savour is headed up by prominent drinks marketer Jamie Walker alongside industry chiefs, Ints Haquani, Chris Bowen and Lewis Bowen.

Jamie Walker managing director of Sip and Savour says:

“Stranger & Sons are the perfect partners for Sip & Savour. Gin manufacturers around the world look to India for provenance and we are proud to have inherited our first truly Indian gin distillery and the pioneer of quality Indian gin today.

“We can’t wait to roll out this inherently Indian premium gin at what is undeniably a most exciting time for the UK trade channels. We welcome our colleagues back with open arms with an exquisite and enchanting spirit on re-opening.”

Sip and Savour will focus on developing Stranger & Sons’ brand presence in the UK while increasing its reach through key distribution networks. Plans are afoot to build out an online brand ambassador programme harnessing some of the UK’s top mixology talent, developing brand awareness and driving sales with online partners, intending to establish partnerships with the best on- and off-trade accounts.

Stranger & Sons Gin is available to buy from Amazon, Master of Malt, The Drink Shop, The Whisky Exchange and ?trade channel, EnotriaCoe.
