Air cushions are used as protective packaging and as well as the machine itself, Kite has developed a range of six different air cushion types, to service all types of applications. These include quilted cushions which provide an excellent alternative to bubble wrap and act as a superb lining for corrugated boxes, which are particularly useful for packing fruit and vegetables for retail. The application has shown a potential 85% saving on void fill material costs.
The Mini Air machine is no bigger than an average printer, a huge advantage for warehouses where space is at a premium. The rolls of air cushion film arrive flat, taking up very little space, and can be run without assistance, dispensing air cushions into a container for packers. Producing 7 metres of air cushions per minute, it can be used to control the packing process. The perforated cushions allow for a select number of cushions used per carton or packing method – a good basis for working out packaging budgets.
The CE certified Mini Air System is quality guaranteed and testing has been carried out on both the machine and all types of film. A 12 month warranty is included from the day of purchase.
