A partnership with ITV’s the People’s Ad Break, saw HARIBO’s iconic ‘Boardroom’ advert brought to life by members of the public; with the winning submission featuring during the Britain’s Got Talent ad break on Saturday 23rd May.
Having received hundreds of entries from those keen to take their place on national TV, these were expertly narrowed down by a team of ITV industry professionals – with the chosen submissions unveiled to the nation during a coveted primetime spot on the channel.
The winning HARIBO advert was created by a group of colleagues from Cheshire.
Putting an incredibly current spin on their recreation, the group’s effort replicates a familiar scenario for businesses across the country, with the ‘boardroom meeting’ taking place over a video conference call.
Of the chosen entry, Hayley Nixon, Marketing Manager at HARIBO UK, comments:
“Our ads are fun, light-hearted and whatever your age they always raise a smile. We’re thrilled that the winning entry captured all of this and more. It is a fantastic take on our Boardroom ad with added creativity that makes it hugely relevant to today’s working conditions.”
Detailing why the submissions were chosen to take the top spot, Kate Waters from ITV, comments:
“All of the panel were bowled over by the strength of creativity, initiative and resourcefulness in all the entries. Our winning ads all captured the spirit of the original versions perfectly.”
