shutterstock_2130164Henderson Group, the owner of the Spar, Eurospar, Vivo and Vivoxtra franchises in Northern Ireland, has selected Aldata, a leading provider of software solutions for the retail industry, to automate store replenishment and manage inventory in real-time in order to boost store sales and reduce costs.

Henderson Group, which distributes food and grocery related products to the convenience retail sector, will initially be deploying the Aldata G.O.L.D. solution across its own stores, with the potential to extend the roll-out to its independents. By using automated store replenishment and mobile PDAs for real-time inventory management, Henderson Group expects customer service to improve as a result of better product availability while at the same time enabling them to hold less inventory in the supply chain, leading to lower costs.

Andrew Logan, IT Director for Hendersons, said; “This current investment enables us to further optimise our supply chain in Northern Ireland to assure on-shelf availability whilst driving down inventory costs.  We selected Aldata due to their proven references in grocery, as well as G.O.L.D.’s scalable nature, ease of use and centralised model, which delivers real-time visibility across the business.”

Mark Croxton, Managing Director, Aldata UK, said; “Our solutions enable retailers to dramatically accelerate their stock to cash cycle, through inventory management systems that cut inventory in the supply chain and ensure that it is where it needs to be – meeting consumer demand at the shelf. The Henderson Group will soon be enjoying the benefits of a highly scalable solution that will enable visibility of stock across its estate.”
