The introduction of the Fruity Muesli and Yoghurt Breakfast Thins is part of an extensive new product roll out throughout 2014 for Kallo with the aim of becoming the number one consumer choice for a healthier alternative to bread, biscuits and crisps.

The Fruity Muesli and Yoghurt Breakfast Thins have been developed in answer to growing customer demand for great tasting, convenient breakfast products that can be eaten on the go but with an increased focus on natural, healthier ingredients. Unlike other convenience breakfast products currently available, the rice cake thins contain only wholegrain brown rice, oats, sunflower seeds and yoghurt and are also free from artificial ingredients for a healthier start to the day.

While the Fruity Muesli and Yoghurt Breakfast Thins are aimed primarily at the breakfast convenience market they are also suitable for wider snacking occasions for both adults and children.

The new rice cakes are suitable for vegetarians and are only 66 calories per thin. Fruity Muesli and Yoghurt Breakfast Thins will be available in Sainsbury’s stores in the sweet and savoury biscuit aisle from June 2014 for a recommended retail price of £1.99 for a packet of six rice cake thins.

Marketing Director Gill Hesketh comments ‘We’re very excited about the launch of the Fruity Muesli and Yoghurt Breakfast Thins as this is a first foray into the breakfast market for Kallo which we will be looking to develop with further products suitable for breakfast or snacking occasions.’
