With consumers increasingly demanding the opportunity to assess the quality, honesty and integrity of food products before they buy, Harrison Europac – one of the UK’s leading suppliers of plastics trays and lids for the food industry and the wholly owned subsidiary of Denmark-based Faerch Plast – has launched a range of containers produced from its new high clarity polypropylene (PP).

Specially developed by Harrison Europac to provide exceptional transparency together with unrivalled impact resistance, even at low temperatures, the new look PP trays offer excellent on-shelf impact, brand appeal and protective qualities, as well as significant environmental, handling and space saving benefits.

The containers are ideally suited to microwave only chilled convenience foods, and meals consisting of fresh raw or processed products. The company is also set to introduce a range of meat trays produced from the improved PP.

In addition, the new PP provides better uniformity to containers, which helps further increase reliability and stability during high speed de-nesting, sealing and packing.
