The Ice Cream of Ice Creams brand, Häagen-Dazs, is expanding its popular DUO range with new flavour profiles and mini cup formats. Available in stores from February, the multi-sensory smooth-meets-crunchy creations directly answer the growing consumer need for both elevated indulgence and unique product experiences.

Now an established consumer favourite, DUO is famous for combining two iconic flavours, side by side, in one tub. Since launching in 2021, the range has contributed to 31% of pints NPD new to category spend1, with high levels of shopper loyalty and strong purchase repeat rates at 29%[1].

The new flavour, Vanilla Hazelnut & Caramel Crunch, will drive trade up in the nation’s favourite ice cream flavour camp: Vanilla, which is currently challenged with the lowest average retail price in the category[2].  The pint-sized addition is a decadent twist to the traditional Vanilla flavour profile.

Häagen-Dazs is also capitalising on the impressive growth in the Mini Cups sub-sector. As the leader in this growing space, the brand is unveiling an extension of the 2021 Duo Chocolate range and two new fruity vanilla creations into the new DUO Mini Cup Collection.

The two new irresistible 4 x 95ml mini cups multipacks will offer a variety of flavours within each flavour camp, to broaden appeal. The offerings are the ideal answer to the growing trend for ‘portion controlled’ ice-cream without compromise on taste or ingredients.

With impactful shopper activations this year, retailers can expect to see an uplift in sales across the DUO range.
