Piri, the UK’s number one selling allergy range1, has launched PiriNatural, a 100% natural saline spray.  It helps clean, wash and moisturise nasal passages to help reduce nasal congestion caused by hay fever and other allergens such as dust.

Available in store now, this new saline spray from GSK has been created in response to the growing appetite for natural care. This growing appetite presents an opportunity worth £2.3m[1] and when coupled with the strong growth of the saline spray segment (+13.7%[2]), signifies a huge sales opportunity for retailers and pharmacists.

Katharine Osmond, Allergy Senior Brand Manager at GSK, comments, “As a leading allergy brand with over 50 years of experience, we do everything we can to understand people’s allergies and develop solutions to help with the symptoms. We found that 25% of allergy sufferers only begin to treat their symptoms when they become particularly troublesome, with 51% of these saying this was because they do not like to take medicine unnecessarily[3]. As a result, we wanted to provide a natural solution to help them meet their needs.

“New PiriNatural is ideally placed to target both new customers who currently avoid traditional medication, as well as existing allergy medication shoppers who are looking for a natural addition to their usual hay fever treatment.’’

PiriNatural will be supported as part of the Piri portfolio with a £3m advertising campaign during the peak of the hay fever season across June and July. The campaign will comprise of TV advertising, digital and influencer activations which will keep the brand front of mind for shoppers.
