World foods and category expert Golden Acre Foods is launching Vandan, a new all-in-one Puja box into Tesco stores on a WIGIG deal this September, ahead of this year’s Diwali celebrations.

Designed to make traditional Hindu worship easier to access and practise in modern homes, the box, which has taken Golden Acre three years to bring to fruition, brings together 18 puja essentials and an easy-to-follow guide together in one box. It is intended for everyday prayer as well as festivals and ceremonies throughout the year.

The box also includes a Puja and Aarti book explaining the purpose and significance of the ingredients, with guidance covering Ganesh Puja Sthapana, Lakshmi Puja Sthapana, Satyanarayan Puja and Aarti Sangrah.

Explains Tejas Patel, technical manager at Golden Acre Foods: “Diwali is an important moment for families and communities across the UK, and the new puja box’s presence in the Tesco power aisle will make Vandan more accessible to shoppers preparing for the festival. It is also suitable for daily worship and other significant Hindu occasions, giving the product relevance beyond the Diwali period.

“We believe this will be the first time a puja box will be available to buy in a mainstream UK supermarket, and it’s also our first ever non-food innovation.”

The box will be available on a WIGIG deal in dedicated Diwali power aisles in 50 Tesco stores from early September (RSP £12.75). It brings all the essentials together in one carefully organised box, removing much of the time and uncertainty involved in sourcing individual items. It supports families wanting to maintain a meaningful connection and respect for their culture, but with the convenience appreciated by modern Hindu families.

The launch responds to demand for products that support the needs of the UK’s diverse communities and makes culturally important occasions simpler to prepare for at home. The compact box is suitable for established worshippers, families, beginners and younger generations looking for clear guidance on traditional practice.  It is positioned as both a practical household product and a thoughtful cultural gift.
