British oat producer, Glebe Farm, is proud to announce the launch of its extended range of oat drinks with a new look including award winning barista SKU which will launch into Morrisons stores nationwide in January.

Family-owned Glebe Farm is launching a new range of oat drinks showcasing a fresh new look for retailers, baristas and consumers alike. Glebe Farm’s oat drinks are produced on site at Glebe Farm in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire and will be available to purchase directly through the Glebe Farm website, on Amazon, and will launch into Morrisons stores nationwide on 24th January. Both Glebe Farm PureOaty Barista and Glebe Farm PureOaty Creamy & Enriched will retail with an RRP from £1.80.

Glebe Farm is the pioneer of gluten free oats and home to Britain’s first and only production plant for making oat drink from scratch in the UK. In 2021, the family-run business was faced with a court case from Oat Drink giant Oatly which had made claims of brand and trademark infringement. These allegations were comprehensively rejected by the judge,  leading to a victory for Glebe Farm as the hearing ruled in favour of the brother and sister duo Phil and Rebecca Rayner.

More than a quarter of the UK population now consume plant-based milk, a number which is forecast to more than double by 2025 with the market reaching a value of £560,000,000. A recent study commissioned by Glebe Farm showed 92% of Brits would prefer to buy dairy-free milk made from UK ingredients, with two thirds saying it’s because they want to support British farmers. This highlights the importance of  the UK-based facility on its farm in Cambridgeshire allows the business to bring high quality, plant-based milks using British core ingredients to the UK market – thereby offering a lower carbon footprint than its European rivals can achieve.

Made from the purest British oats, both Glebe Farm’s plant-based milks are not only vegan but gluten free too. They can be steamed for hot drinks, added to a smoothie, poured over cereal, or used in baking, cooking and much more – making Glebe Farm Oat Drinks  eminently versatile dairy-free alternatives.

Glebe Farm PureOaty Barista has already been recognised with a Great Taste Award for its delicious, creamy flavour and it is made with just four simple ingredients. This is accompanied by the Glebe Farm PureOaty Creamy & Enriched option which is fortified with calcium and vitamins D, B2 & B12.

We couldn’t be more excited to bring our British barista grade oat drinks to our customers,” says Rebecca Rayner, Co-Founder of Glebe Farm. “Plant-based milk is more popular than ever, driven by changing consumer tastes, and considerations around health and sustainability. A lot of people are increasingly looking to eat British foods and our oat milks tick all the boxes – especially with their best-in-class carbon footprint”

Oats are a natural superfood, rich in vitamins, minerals and soluble fibre. They’re also naturally gluten free – but only when they’re completely pure.  Every step of the way, Glebe Farm ensures their oats are 100% clean and wholesome, with every tonne of oat grains checked repeatedly to ensure there are no wheat, barley or other gluten-containing grains present.

Sustainability and the environment are at the heart of Glebe Farm’s business. Not only are all of its oats grown locally, all of the production for the oat drink is handled on site, with solar panels and biomass generators producing power for the production facility. Glebe Farm has independently received a ‘best in class’ for its low carbon footprint – the lowest of any oat milk in the UK. With  89% of Brits more likely to shop local and support British since the pandemic, Glebe Farm is proud of its Cambridgeshire roots and is determined to encourage the nation to keep it local and buy British!

The company engages in environmental stewardship practices on the farm and is also passionate about giving back to the local community through supporting local projects. Glebe Farm has donated over 10,000 cartons of oat drink to local NHS hospitals and food banks, to offer a helping hand.
