Denny Bros has teamed up with Paul Norman Plastics to develop a Fix-a-Form for the company’s new gumshield container to include usage, fitting and care instructions for its funky but functional Game Guard gumshields product range. While traditionally used by boxers and rugby players, gumshields are now used extensively by school children participating in many sports, including football and hockey.
Game Guard is a range of ‘boil and bite’ gumshields, which offers the user an exceptional choice. They come in 14 different colours (some sparkling), 3 flavours and are suitable for most sports. It is because the gumshields need to be fitted by the customer that the gumshield containers now carry an 8 page resealable Fix a Form which is shaped to fit the storage case.
The Fix a Form is exactly what the company needed to make the snappy pack work for its customers. Explains a spokesperson for the company: ‘We wanted to improve our product offering with a new eco friendly case without cardboard backings or plastic blister packs to throw away and improved fitting instructions, so we replaced the hand folded instruction and usage leaflet and separate pack label with a Fix a Form that does both jobs in one. The base label information is printed on the front of the Fix a Form and all the instructions are neatly contained within the booklet.
“By merging the two separate processes we have made cost savings too.
The multi page label is the same shape as the pack – it all looks very professional.”
100,000 Fix a Forms produced in the initial order are now applied to the gum shield containers with the help of a semi automatic label dispenser. The company is now considering adding Fix a Forms to its double gumshield products.
