Competitive price & good delivery times win a place on nut-free cake production line for leading manufacturer of metal detectors
Newly-established food business, The Just Love Food Company, looked to the UK’s leading designer and manufacturer of metal detection systems, Fortress Technology when setting up its production line for nut free celebration cakes in South Wales earlier this year.
Launching in 200 Sainsbury’s stores nationwide, The Just Love Food Company was set up by Mike Woods after struggling to find suitable birthday cakes on the market for his two children with nut allergies. In order to comply with food industry standards, he had to incorporate a metal detector into the brand new facility at Blackwood, Gwent.
“We have searched the breadth of the UK to find suppliers who meet our requirements and who acknowledge our nut free promise. Fortress Technology was able to offer us a competitively-priced metal detection system suitable for our needs and to ensure delivery to fit in with production schedules” he commented.
