UK based Jamaican patty company, Flake Bake, announces the release of its new Jamaican-inspired ready-meals, launching exclusively in Aldi from the 16th September.
The launch marks the brand’s portfolio expansion in Aldi, following its listing for the Flake Bake Beef Patty in 2024, as a result of winning Aldi’s Next Big Thing. It became the first winner to have its product launch in a limited number of stores nationwide as a summer seasonal offering, but due to overwhelming demand, saw them become a permanent listing. The flavour range was then extended to include the Flake Bake Chicken Patty in March 2025.
Now, Flake Bake continues its growth journey with Aldi, launching its first ever ready-meal range in stores across the UK, including:
- Jerk BBQ Chicken with Rice & Peas: Cooked chicken in a barbeque style sauce served with Basmati rice and red kidney beans
- BBQ Beef & Sweet Potato Mash: Cooked beef in a barbeque style sauce served with potato and sweet potato mash
Both BBQ flavours are naturally sweetened and enhanced by a blend of classic Caribbean aromatics and ingredients, including pineapple, scotch bonnet peppers, ginger, thyme and pimento, whilst the BBQ Jerk Chicken meal is served with coconut infused rice.

This year’s new ready-meal range is the next step in William’s ambitions for bringing Jamaican flavours to everyday shoppers, following the sale of over four million Jamaican Patties in Aldi since its launch in 2024.

All products are inspired by traditional Jamaican flavours and produced for Aldi in the UK, using British reared chicken and beef.
