As the nights draw in and we head towards winter we are already seeing Hot Chocolate sales performing well through September (+28% year on year)[1]. Fox’s Burton’s Companies (FBC) are helping retailers maximise the “drinks link” opportunity for sweet biscuits by adding a new, delicious offering: Fox’s Viennese Double Chocolate Fingers.
The new Viennese biscuit sandwiches a smooth chocolate filling between two light cocoa shells, perfectly extending the popular Viennese range. The new addition comes as Fox’s Favourites Viennese Milk Chocolate Sandwich Biscuits are now worth £14.3 million and growing at 11% year on year[2]. Fox’s Viennese is making its way into more shoppers’ baskets than ever before, with 1.7 million shoppers buying these biscuits in the last year, putting the expanded range in the perfect position to help retailers drive their biscuit sales.[3]
Colin Taylor, Trade Marketing Director at FBC comments: “We know shoppers are looking for new ways to treat themselves throughout the day and into dark evenings. The new Viennese Double Chocolate is not only set to deliver a delicious new treat for Viennese fans, but also entice new customers to the brand and biscuit aisle. The Fox’s Viennese brand is more popular than ever, so now is the perfect time to unveil our latest innovation and help retailers to tap into the brand’s growth.”
Viennese Double Chocolate will be launching into Sainsburys nationwide in 120g packs, and with an RRP of £1.90, on the 20th October 2024.
