With Brits spending a huge £1billion a year on pies*, National Pie Day on 23rd January is a much anticipated day for pie lovers! To celebrate, the nation’s love of Pies, and the launch of their recently new range, Higgidy – the premium pie maker – is opening its first ever ‘Pop Up Pie Shop’, at 27 Goodge Street, London W1T 2LD, with all pies sold after all day for an amazing value of just £2 per pie.
The Higgidy Pie Pop Up will open its doors from 10 am – 6pm, filling the air with the irresistible aroma of their deliciously tasty pies and delivering a warm comforting glow to hungry lunch seekers.
Packed with top quality ingredients and delivering a burst of delicious flavour, Higgidy’s five premium pies on offer, will include three meat and two veggie options – so there’s something for everyone. Higgidy’s mouth-watering individual 200g pies are all made with buttery short crust pastry and are hand-topped with either a tasty crumb or sprinkle of seeds. The three meat options are: Creamy Chicken & Sauteed Leek Pie with white wine, Slow-Braised Steak & Craft Ale Pie with carrots and Slow-Cooked Steak, Red Wine & Bacon Pie with chestnut mushrooms. The two veggie options on offer on the day are: Spinach, Greek Feta & Pine Nut Pie with roasted red peppers and Three Cheese, Cauliflower & Broccoli Pie with garlic and thyme crumb.
