Masters of all things cheesecake, English Cheesecake Company, is making its debut into the potted dessert category with the introduction of Salted Caramel Cheesecake Sundaes (2x90g).
Landing in 200 Sainsbury’s stores nationwide on 27th April, the new pots combine delicious vegan cheesecake, a layer of silky salted caramel and English Cheesecake’s signature biscuit crumb.
The move into pots taps into the UK’s booming £1.59bn yoghurt and potted dessert category as Josh Laurier, Operations Director at English Cheesecake Company explains:
“Our vegan cheesecakes are a hit with our vegan and non-vegan customers alike, so moving into the potted dessert category was the next step in delivering our iconic cheesecake in a brand-new individually portioned format. We’ve combined our classic cheesecake recipe with Violife’s award-winning vegan cream cheese alternative to create two single-serve dessert pots which are a great option for those looking for a dessert which is both indulgent and dairy-free. They’re thick, they’re creamy, they’re decadent and, quite frankly, you wouldn’t believe they’re vegan!”
The desserts come packaged in fully recyclable pots with a sealed lid and a recyclable cardboard sleeve outer.
English Cheesecake Company’s Salted Caramel Cheesecake Sundaes will be available to purchase from Sainsbury’s stores for £3.50.
