vodka-shots-pack.jpgWith consumers expected to spend greater time entertaining at home this season, confectionery expert Elizabeth Shaw is preparing a comprehensive product portfolio for retailers to maximise Christmas sales. Famous Names continue to be the must stock item this Christmas. A superb combination of the world’s most famous liqueurs with the world’s finest chocolate this product’s popularity continues unchallenged, outselling the next biggest selling liquid centre liqueur by four times. Created using dark chocolate, it taps into the growing sophistication of UK consumers, who have in recent years come to appreciate chocolate in the same way that they may coffee or wine.

Elizabeth Shaw’s iconic Mint Crisp also play a prominent role in the festive portfolio. As well as being a well-established Christmas gift, Mint Crisps are also the perfect after dinner accompaniment and come in both dark and milk chocolate. There is also an Orange Crisp, making a delicious line-up of three variants to tempt the discerning consumer.

Recently re-launched to the market, Elizabeth Shaw Vodka Shots have been changed from a truffle liqueur centre to a liquid centre containing a refreshing shot of vodka in one of three flavours – neat, Lemon and Raspberry. The packaging has been designed to attract the young gifting market; a stylish silver tube and eye-catching logo will create stand out against the more traditional liqueur SKUs.

Clusters, again aimed at a younger market, are available in two contemporary flavours – cranberry and orange – and come in an easy-to-pick-up bag that fits easily into a handbag or desk drawer.

Malachy McReynolds, Chairman at Elizabeth Shaw said: “With most people keeping an eye on costs this Christmas we believe that there will be an increase in people seeking out affordable luxuries to enjoy in their own homes or with friends, or to give as gifts. Our product portfolio fills that niche perfectly – combining traditional favourites with some newer, fresher products for our younger customers, whilst keeping its roots firmly embedded in our culture of chocolate making.

“We will be continuing to uphold our reputation for creating quality confectionery to enjoy with friends as we head into next year, with the launch of a gifting and sharing pack in the mint chocolate market, available for Easter 2009.

“Old or new, with all Elizabeth Shaw products, customers can be confident of great tasting, quality chocolate.”

Cash and carry stockists of the range are Booker, Hancock’s, Batleys, Bestway, Makro and Palmer & Harvey.
