The One brand is a philanthropic business that uses its profit to effect positive change in less fortunate parts of the world. It all began with a photograph in the Guardian newspaper back in December 2003. Having returned from 2 years motor biking around the world, Duncan Goose, founder of the One brand, decided to put the skills he’d learned in his marketing and advertising career to better use – launching the ethical bottled water brand, One Water. The idea was simple, to sell bottled water in the UK and give away the profit to fund the provision of clean water in the world’s poorest communities. Watch the story unfold at onedifference.org/ann To date One has raised over £14 million, transforming the lives of over 3 million people.

Duncan-Goose[9]However there are still 663 million people in the world without access to safe drinking water and over 2 million people die every year from waterborne diseases. The One team plan to double their funds raised by 2020 and have launched a new range of Juiced Water to help drive this.

Introducing NEW One Juiced Water The new refreshing range of juice drinks contain 50% fruit juice, 50% British spring water and a dash of natural flavouring. They’re a healthier alternative to leading juiced water brands, with up to 30% less sugar, no preservatives, sweeteners or added sugar.

Duncan Goose, Founder of One, commented: “There’s been a lot of media focus on reducing sugar consumption and consumers are looking for drinks without added sugar. We’re proud to launch a range of drinks that not only offer a healthier proposition to consumers, but has charitable benefits too”.

One Juiced Water is currently available in three delicious flavours – Raspberry & Apple, Orange & Mango and Cloudy Apple – in 400ml PET bottles. They are already on sale in airports across the UK via World Duty Free, on board Thomas Cook Airlines, at bb’s Coffee & Muffins, plus independent cafés & deli’s nationwide; serviced by a network of wholesalers – and One are encouraging other outlets to see the benefits of stocking the range too.

According to Zenith International, the juiced water category has outperformed its Water Plus sector with +6.4% growth versus +5.7% in 2015 and growth is set to continue to 2020 (Source: Zenith International Ltd 2016). With over one third of consumers avoiding sugar / sugary foods & drinks (IGD 2015), the opportunity is strong for lower sugar offerings across all consumer shopping channels.

Consumers know that they should be drinking more water everyday; however 52% of those in the UK agree that it’s hard to achieve (Source: Zenith UK Bottled Water Conference 2016). The full One range includes other spring water based drinks – still, sparkling and a range of four sugar free flavoured waters (include Flavoured range shot if space); giving consumers greater choice. All One products are presented in either 25% recycled PET or 35% recycled glass bottles. Both formats are fully recyclable.

One is a Carbon Neutral Company, UK Social Enterprise and a founding B Corporation in the UK Duncan Goose says, “Over 2 million people die prematurely from water-borne diseases every year and sadly, it is children under five years old who are most affected. We believe by consuming on a more conscious level, we can all effect positive change.

Simply by changing the brand of bottled water or juice you buy, you can help transform lives on the other side of the world. It’s that simple.”.
