Summer is going to taste so much better to the UK’s legions of gin fans as award-winning premium mixer Double Dutch is now being stocked in high-end supermarket chain Waitrose.
Three Double Dutch mixers – Cucumber & Watermelon, Pomegranate & Basil and Indian Tonic – hit the shelves of 208 Waitrose stores across the country this week with a promotional launch price of £3 for an eight pack of 150ml cans (RRP £4.15).
It means that more Double Dutch lovers can now easily buy the award-winning tonic, founded by Dutch twins Raissa and Joyce de Haas, which has been available online or via luxury stores Fortnum & Masons and Selfridges.
Commenting on the tie-in with Waitrose, Raissa said: “It’s an amazing milestone for us to be launching with Waitrose nationwide and we are super excited that our customers can now enjoy Double Dutch at home and we can introduce our mixers to more discerning drinkers.”
Joyce added: “I am convinced the Waitrose shopper will love our flavours as not only do they mix amazingly well with any gin, but they are equally delicious on their own. Being able to buy instore also means consumers can use Double Dutch to make simple and consistent cocktails any time of the day that are as good as they can get in any bar or restaurant!”

Cucumber & Watermelon – Slightly sweet aroma with a refreshing and crisp taste profile.
While cucumber has a traditional affinity for gin and lighter summer fizzes, the additional natural sugar and depth from the watermelon allows Double Dutch’s Cucumber & Watermelon mixer to support any London dry or citric gin, vodka or as a top up with wine.
Pomegranate & Basil – Herbaceous aroma with a peppery finish.
Often considered to be a superfood, pomegranate has a complex flavour profile that straddles sweet and tart but also offers a tannin note to provide body and structure to cocktails.
