A new name and identity is signalling an exciting new era for Nampak Paper Holdings Limited, following its recent acquisition by Platinum Equity.

From 1st June 2011 the company is renamed Contego Packaging.

Tom Reid, Chief Executive Officer, Contego Packaging was at the company’s Newmarket site to unveil the new sign – just one element of the extensive pan-European campaign that has been underway to roll out the new name, including everything from signage to stationery. He said: “Today marks the start of a new and exciting era for our business, with several significant investments already announced and more in the pipeline. Our new name ‘Contego’ is the Latin word to ‘protect, shield, cover and defend’, which mirrors our commitment to supplying customers with high quality packaging for their products.”

Contego Packaging produces cartons for the food and beverage sectors from two sites in the UK and one in Holland. In addition it supplies the pharmaceutical industry with cartons, leaflets, labels and blister pack foils from ten sites across Europe.
