Smurfit Kappa Print Vision Chelmsford received unprecedented acclaim from judges at this year’s FlexoTech Awards dinner on 19th October for producing the “Best process print ever seen on B flute.”
Smurfit Kappa Print Vision Chelmsford were crowned the winners of the Corrugated Post-Print Category with the Bacardi Breezer Cool Box in the acclaimed International awards, where entries are judged on register, sharpness, trapping, flatness, reproduction and innovation.
Smurfit Kappa were the only nominees for the Corrugated Post-Print Category with the other candidates being Smurfit Kappa Northampton with the Super Heroes (inside box) and Smurfit Kappa Delitzch with the Original Danziger Goldwasser Liqueur.
Print Vision Chelmsford won the accolade after producing a pack quality that is unique among B flute prints and meeting with all the customers’ requirements. Bacardi required a minimal cost material but with an excellent print that could also hold ice for the Breezers in a party or barbecue environment.
B flute is traditionally difficult to print on because the appearance of the flutes can destroy the aesthetics of the pack, but Smurfit Kappa use top quality sheet board combined with the skills of their printers in applying minimal pressures yet achieving a high-quality result.
