This Easter, Asda makes the chick the star of the show with its all-new Chick range of bakery products, starting at just £0.65. The selection has nine new launches, encompassing everything from cakes and biscuits to cookie cups.

Up first is the delectable Chick Cake (£6), complete with a layer of charming yellow fondant, adorned with an adorable chick face, and soft madeira sponge, filled with sweet plum and raspberry jam and delicious buttercream. The cake serves eight people and the heavenly forkfuls will have shoppers practically chirping with delight.

Chocoholics will be excited to get their hands on the Chick Easter Log (£5) – a chocolate sponge, rolled and filled with milk chocolate frosting and enrobed in milk chocolate. And the cherry – or should we say, egg – on top? The log is decorated with sugar paste decorations for a festive springtime treat. The cake serves 10, making it the ideal way to round off a family Easter celebration.

Looking for something smaller? There’s the Easter Cupcake Platter (£4.50). The nine cupcakes in this pack are hand-finished with sugar paste chicks, mini milk chocolate eggs and vermicelli sprinkles – oh-so-cute.

Customers who are on-the-go need not fear, for they can still enjoy delicious Asda cakes in a serving ready for one. Inside the Chick Cake Jar (£3.50), there are layers of Madeira sponge, tangy lemon curd, crunchy sugar sprinkles, and sweet vanilla frosting topped with an edible chick face.

For those who prefer something snappier, the Gingerbread Chick (£0.65) is the perfect choice. The subtle spice of the gingerbread pairs perfectly with the sweet decorative icing. Additionally, there are the Chick Cookie Cups (£3.50/4pk). The striking combination of a milk chocolate chip cookie and a chocolate cupcake, these sweet treats are for those who want the best of both worlds.

The range also features a Chick Cheesecake (£6), which starts off with a digestive biscuit base, topped with a lemon cheesecake and finished with a lemon glaze and edible sugar decorations. Additionally, Asda’s Twin “Cracked Egg” Cheesecakes (£3.50/2pk) are perfect for sharing, featuring two baked white chocolate, mango and passion fruit cheesecakes.

Last but certainly not least, the Crushed Egg Donut (£2.75) rounds out this Easter Chick range. The pack consists of three donuts with a chocolate flavour filling coated with yellow icing and decorated with coated broken chocolate eggs.

The Chick range is drumming up lots of excitement on social media; shoppers are excited to find these new products in-store and are sharing their enthusiasm online.
