In a first-to-market innovation, a range of embossed household cleaning products will be launched into multiple discounters next month, meeting demand for solutions which are affordable, effective and fun.

The ultra-absorbent range comprises a yellow cloth with an embossed ‘summery’ flower design (Case size 12 RRP £1.49) and a coordinating pad in a flower shape (Case size 12 RRP £1.49). The products mark the start of a limited edition seasonal collection, with a themed autumn/winter range to follow later this year.

“In a year when shoppers’ desire to keep their homes clean and hygienic has been amplified, the cleaning accessories category has seen sales surge” says Andrew Heys, Managing Director at OTL, home of the Spunj brand.

“Whilst the importance of household cleanliness has been magnified by Covid-19, shopper demand for products which make everyday household tasks less of a chore has also become more apparent, with retailers set to benefit from this ongoing trend.”

Spunj hit the UK cleaning market in 2019 with its colourful, multi-functional products, made from innovative hydrophilic (super absorbent) technology. An instant hit with well-known ‘clean-fluencers’, the brand has since gone on to gain listings with retailers including ASDA, B&M, Savers, Poundland and Amazon.
