We are delighted to announce that the Caravan Helpline, which was launched at the beginning of July, is proving to be very helpful to ACS members. In the first few weeks of operation the Helpline has answered a variety of queries, including financial support, benefits information and grant requests.
A unique aspect of the service is the ability to offer post incident support to those within the grocery industry; and in the first few hours of operation the Helpline was able to help a caller following an incident at an independent store.
Accessible through ACS and Caravan, the service provides general support and information in key areas. For example: personal issues, including family, children and relationships; career support including working relationships; people skills; health and mental health issues; some legal issues; post incident support; financial support including benefits information; and a telephone-based counselling service.
