abokado-salad-2Alexir Partnership is saddened to announce the loss of their Crawley production facility due to a fire that broke out in the production area on the morning of 4th November. Fortunately the company does have alternative facilities in Uckfield and an additional site in Crawley which means that customers can be serviced as usual.

All staff were evacuated quickly, without incident and all staff are unharmed which is of utmost importance. Alexir are very grateful to so many customers who have expressed sympathy and provided reassurance of their continued support and loyalty. The Sales Team have been, and will continue to, contact their customers personally to make sure any concerns they have are satisfied.

Alexir Chairman Robert Davison said “We have a full Disaster Recovery Plan in place for this type of situation and the Management Team reconvened last night, to initiate this Recovery Plan.  Within 24 hours we now have fully functioning offices within our Offsite Storage Facility, communications are up and running with full IT Recovery now in place, so we can service all our customers as usual.  We hope to be 100% operational next week.  Fortunately we have in place reciprocal agreements with our colleagues in the industry to ensure continuity of supply for customers”.

A more detailed statement will be released later today or Monday and Alexir will of course keep customers, trade partners and suppliers up-dated on a regular basis. All customers can contact Alexir Partnership on the usual number 01293 544644 as communications have already been transferred to their alternative Crawley site.
