To be launched officially at the forthcoming TCS&D Show in Peterborough during September 2013, Refrigerental represents a significant investment by Burnt Tree in a comprehensive range of brand-new, state-of-the-art temperature controlled rental vehicles, ranging from car derived vans and panel vans, right up to 18tonne and 26tonne rigid trucks, covering both single and multi-temperature applications.

Announcing details of the Refrigerental launch, Burnt Tree’s Contract Hire Director Mark Howell said, “Following an extensive and detailed market appraisal, we felt that there was a major opportunity for Burnt Tree to expand its vehicle rental business into the temperature controlled market sector. With the personal input and proven sector expertise of the new management team responsible for Refrigerental, we are confident that Refrigerental will offer both current and new customers a totally fresh approach to the rental of refrigerated vans and trucks.”

Refrigerental will be headed up by newly appointed General Manager Neil Murphy, working alongside the 19 branches in the company’s vehicle rental network.

All the refrigerated vans and trucks in the Refrigerental fleet are brand-new 63 plate models, covering vehicle sizes from small vans up to 26tonne rigids, and as Mark Howell explains, “We have carefully chosen a comprehensive range of vehicle types and models to give customers the optimum choice of vehicles covering the majority of temperature controlled applications from chill to heavy chill and deep frozen. Refrigerental vans and trucks are available with a choice of single and multi-temperature refrigeration systems, and each vehicle uniquely features Silent refrigeration kits fitted as standard, making them ideal for typical noise sensitive urban deliveries.”

For the launch, the Refrigerental vehicle range available via Burnt Tree’s 19-strong branch network comprises car derived vans, MWB and LWB panel vans, as well as 3.5tonne, 7.5tonne, 18tonne and 26tonne rigid trucks with refrigerated box bodies built to ATP Class C standards. Further options include trucks with either column or retractable tail lifts and all Refrigerental vehicles are covered by the refrigeration manufacturers R&M Package as standard as well as an inclusive Maintenance and Service Package.

As part of the Refrigerental launch, Burnt Tree has also launched a dedicated temperature controlled vehicle rental website www.refrigerental.co.uk from which visitors to the site can obtain a fully comprehensive vehicle selection guide that outlines the complete range of vehicles available. The website gives a detailed overview of the extent of the Refrigerental operation, however further information on the latest vehicle availability and competitive rates can be obtained by contacting Refrigerental on 0870 444 6554, by email on info@refrigerental.co.uk or by contacting the nearest Burnt Tree branch.

“Although Refrigerental is a brand-new dedicated temperature controlled vehicle rental operation, it is backed by the Burnt Tree organisation, with over 30 years proven experience and heritage. Refrigerental is quite unique in the current commercial vehicle market, representing a significant investment in brand new, top specification vehicles as well as implementing a new approach to the renting of refrigerated vans and trucks. In addition, our performance driven philosophy is also part and parcel of the Refrigerental offering so anyone renting refrigerated vehicles from us will automatically benefit from Burnt Tree’s unique long term approach to vehicle rental,” said Richard Metcalfe, Burnt Tree’s Chief Executive.
