Bodega Bay, the Hard Seltzer for ‘Healthy Hedonists’, is excited to announce its launch into 350 Tesco stores nationwide. The new, specially designed four packs will be available for purchase from the 1st June, 2021.

Made from a combination of three simple ingredients, CraftedClear AlcoholTM, sparkling water and natural fruit extracts, the four packs of canned alcoholic sparkling waters will be available in two refreshing expressions: Apple with Ginger & Açai Berry and Cherry with Mango & Goji Berry. Both flavours are 4% ABV and have just one unit of alcohol per can. Ideal for mindful consumers who want to enjoy a light alcoholic drink, the hard seltzers boast only 73 calories per serve, contain only a low level of naturally occurring sugars and have no added colour, preservatives or sweeteners.

Further to this news, Morrisons has increased its listing of Bodega Bay from 234 to 350 stores nationwide. The premium hard seltzers brand is not only taking over the UK but also just got listed in 235 stores in the supermarket chain Carrefour in Spain and is set to launch in Japan, Brazil and USA in August.

Bodega Bay has also launched England’s first Draught Hard Seltzer venue at The Lawn Club in Spinningfields, Manchester, known for its Gen Z friendly outdoor drinking experience in Lawn Pods and Lawn Houses. They will be selling Schooners [2/3’s Pint] of Bodega Bay Elderflower with Lemon & Mint 4% Alc. For £6.50. As with their can sales, Bodega Bay will be donating 17ltrs of clean drinking water for every glass sold.

Charlie Markland, Founder & Managing Director said: “we are delighted to be expanding our distribution in Morrison’s, and being requested to launch in a 4 pack format in Tesco is a ‘pinch yourself moment’ and a real sign of confidence that this will be the summer of Hard Seltzer in the Off Trade-not to mention making us the largest Independently owned, UK Hard Seltzer brand. However, it is the On Trade where we seemed to have really found our tribe with exciting listings in some of the UK’s most progressive venues like Vinegar Yard in London and DECKs in Sheffield. Launching the first draft listing in England allows us to provide a greater experience for our consumers who desire a larger format to enjoy, all while supporting our social mission.”

As well as creating delicious drinks, Bodega Bay are on a social mission. The Hard Seltzer experts donate 1% of all their sales to the Thirst Project, which brings clean drinking water to people in need across 13 countries worldwide. The first order from Tesco alone delivered 571,200 litres of clean drinking water through their partnership with the Thirst Project!
