A first in the UK wine industry, the Black Tower Design Your Own competition ran until January 2013 on special caps of Black Tower Fruity White and Rosé and encouraged consumers to let their creative juices flow and design their own bottle of Black Tower – the No. 1 German wine brand in the UK. Entries could be submitted via a dedicated competition website or via Black Tower’s Facebook page. The response was phenomenal.
The lucky winner from a fantastic selection of highly creative entries is Rebecca Beesley, a mum of three from Tonbridge in Kent. The inspiration for her wonderful winning design featuring piano keys and musical notes was that “everyone likes to end their day with a glass of Black Tower whilst their favourite music plays in the background”. She adds “the simplicity of the black and white piano keys and the relaxation of music just felt the perfect fit for the simple sophistication of Black Tower, so I was delighted that the judges thought so too when they picked my design!”
Rebecca’s design was unique in that it incorporated the entire bottle and her design adapted extremely well to being on the bottle itself. Rebecca’s prize is a weekend for two in New York and she gets the chance to see her unique design on half a million bottles of the leading SKU Black Tower Fruity White – Rebecca said “Wow, I can’t believe it!”
Black Tower Fruity White is a deliciously smooth wine full of fresh fruit flavours of pineapple and ripe mango. Wonderfully easy to drink, it is equally enjoyable served chilled, on its own, or with a variety of food – any time, any occasion. Perfect with spicy chicken tacos or sweet pork.
This Limited Edition design is now available on bottles of Black Tower Fruity White and has real standout on shelf, with piano keys above a handwritten Black Tower label and musical notes below.
