MĀNUKA honey from long-established New Zealand company, Taylor Pass Honey Co, is now available in the UK.

Sustainable, deliciously sweet and known for its many health benefits including immune-boosting properties, premium mānuka honey from Taylor Pass is initially available to the trade through CLF Distribution, the premium health product distributor in the UK with its target audience the health retail sector.

Taylor Pass Honey is currently working with dedicated brand ambassadors who are visiting leading independent stores nationwide to provide information on the fast-growing honey category, explain the wellness and immunity benefits of mānuka, provide in-store POS, and deliver free product samples.

Taylor Pass Honey is well positioned ahead of its rollout into the speciality food retail sector later this year having achieved three stars in the 2022 Great Taste Awards. The prestigious accreditation from the Guild of Fine Foods awarded its highest accolade to Taylor Pass Monofloral Mānuka UMF 5+ Honey with Taylor Pass Mānuka Multifloral Honey awarded one star.

Rebecca Margetts, general manager (sales and marketing) at Taylor Pass Honey, commented: “Taylor Pass Monofloral Mānuka UMF 5+ Honey was the only New Zealand honey to win three stars in this year’s Great Taste Awards and the fact that three stars are only given to the top 1% of all products being judged is serious confirmation of the product’s quality. Today, we export our award-winning honey to many countries around the world and are delighted to now include the UK.”

Taylor Pass Honey Co, located in the Marlborough region of New Zealand, was established over 21 years ago. Its honey is sourced from hives with sustainable beekeeping practices at their core to maintain the fragile balance of the region’s natural ecosystem. As a fully vertical integrated business, the company can control every step of the process from hive to jar, ensuring full product traceability, food safety and authenticity.

The company is currently working towards B Corp Certification, the worldwide designation awarded to businesses meeting high standards of verified performance, accountability, and transparency on a range of factors: from employee benefits and charitable giving to supply chain practices, social and environmental performance.

Hadley Galt, CEO at Taylor Pass Honey, said: “We are delighted to finally answer the call from sustainable honey lovers across the UK and, from September, our premium range of Taylor Pass Honey products will be hitting the shelves.”
