Applied Nutrition has signed an agreement that will see shoppers able to buy its best-selling products at two of the UK’s biggest retailers.
As part of the new listings, Tesco is now stocking Applied Nutrition’s Diet Protein Powder and Costco will offer supplements to customers later this month.
The decision by the high street giants comes as Applied Nutrition recently announced a major new appointment to the business, with AJ Bell founder, Andy Bell CBE, unveiled as the company’s Chairman.
Applied Nutrition’s 450g Diet Protein Powders are available to buy now in Tesco at an MRRP of £13 including Vanilla, Strawberry and Chocolate variants. The advanced supplement combines a selection of key ingredients that are known to support weight management to deliver a low carb high protein blend. In addition to the shakes, branded water bottles that benefit from a silicone spout and spout lock that’s perfect for any sports enthusiast will be available at an MRRP of £8.
Costco is also set to offer Applied Nutrition’s Original Critical Mass Gainer 6kg format in Chocolate flavour from 18th March. Designed for people who find it hard to gain body mass, the Critical Mass Gainer provides a calorie dense formula with high levels of protein and carbohydrate in every serving.
The newly listed products, which are manufactured at the company’s Knowsley factory – a key employer in the area with more than 200 workers – will help to maintain Applied Nutrition’s position as one of Europe’s fastest growing sports nutrition, health & wellness brands.
Applied Nutrition Group CEO and co-founder Tom Ryder said, “New research shows that the global sports nutrition market was worth $21bn (£16.6bn) in 2022 and is expected to grow to $52.5bn (£41.5bn) by 2032. With such incredible growth predicted, more supermarkets and wholesalers are realising the sales opportunities presented by this fast-growing category.
“We’re thrilled to announce these new listings and increase the availability of our products to cater for today’s shoppers who are more health-conscious and are looking for protein products that support weight management and promote a healthy lifestyle. This also provides an enormous boost to our colleagues, with all our powders manufactured in our Knowsley factory, as we continue with our plans for strong growth.”
Applied Nutrition products are already in several UK and international retailers including Holland and Barratt, Asda, B&M, Lidl, WHSmith, Home Bargains, Booker and Walmart.
