xmo-strata.jpgSign installation and maintenance firm Xmo Strata has already won two awards in 2008 in recognition of its health and safety performance. In March, the company won the Tiger Performance award at the ABB / Coteba / ExxonMobil Annual Safety Meeting held at the NEC in Birmingham. The award is part of the contractor safety recognition programme and marks Xmo Strata’s ninth customer safety award in the last six years. The company installs and maintains signs for major retailers and has built a strong health and safety ethos. The firm claims that its employees rank amongst the most highly qualified sign engineers in the UK.

This award is particularly valued by Xmo Strata as it recognises the stringent safety values that are at the core of our business,” said Steve Martin, Managing Director of Xmo Strata. “ABB, Coteba and ExxonMobil are all extremely proactive about health and safety and it is a compliment to be commended by them and appreciated for our efforts.”RoSPA (The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents) has also recognised Xmo Strata’s accomplishments by naming the company for a 2008 Achievement Award. The company was required to demonstrate that systems for occupational health and safety management were in place, risk control measures were implemented and a stable accident/incident rate was upheld.”

Xmo Strata Ltd has shown a commitment to protecting the health and well-being of its employees and others,” said David Rawlins, RoSPA Awards Manager. “We hope other businesses and organisations will follow its lead and strive for continuous improvement in health and safety management.”The company was started just six years ago, built on the foundations that health and safety and extensive staff training were paramount to a successful business. Xmo Strata is now one of the leading sign installation and maintenance firms in the UK.
