alleniconlaserpacksAllen Coding Systems is now able to offer Network capability for the range of MACSA iCON™ laser coders.

Following the launch earlier this year of the MACSA iCON™ laser, the Hertfordshire-based company is now offering the iCON Net network-enabled small character coding laser.

The iCON range of laser coders has been designed specifically for small character coding applications in packaged goods and industrial products, where it offers users an affordable laser alternative to inkjet.

The product enjoys all of the advantages of a laser, offering reliability and ease of use. Also, because it doesn’t use any consumables, it is clean, leaves no mess, is low cost and there are no solvent emissions.

The iCON Net laser coder is equipped with TCP/IP functionality allowing users to download files that have been created off line. It can be used with Marca™ Lite message design software which enables complex messages including bitmap graphics to be created and then used by the iCON Net laser. Barcodes and 2-D codes can also be downloaded as images.

The iCON laser uses high performance optics, powerful hardware and advanced, low overhead software to enable it to meet the speeds of most production lines.

Allen Coding’s UK Sales Manager, Steve Ryan said: “The iCON laser has proved to be extremely popular and many of our customers are now using it to phase out their use of inkjet. Adding this network capability will enable more companies to take full advantage of this exceptional product.”

One of the UK’s leading manufacturers of thermal transfer, hot foil and laser coding and marking equipment, Allen Coding is part of the ITW Coding & Marking Division which also comprises Betaprint, Norwood, Diagraph, Trident and AC Codiergate.
