Two family trips to Kennedy Space Center up for grabs!

The UK’s leading fresh potato brand, Albert Bartlett, is joining forces with Disney and Pixar to celebrate the much-anticipated release of “Lightyear” set to hit UK cinemas on June 17 with an exciting on-pack promotion. The new packs are set to hit stores around May 6 and will give families the chance to win one of two trips to Kennedy Space Center in Florida.

Running until July 17, the promotion will run across 2kg bags of Albert Bartlett Original Rooster potatoes and Albert Bartlett Butter Golds. It will also feature on 5kg packs of Original Roosters as sticker only, available from Costco.

Consumers who buy the promotional packs will be entered into a prize draw to win a once-in-a-lifetime family holiday (two adults and two children under 16). Entry will be via a dedicated page on Albert Bartlett’s website which will close on July 17 with two trips up for grabs.

Disney and Pixar’s “Lightyear”—the definitive origin story of Buzz Lightyear (voice of Chris Evans), the hero who inspired the toy—follows the legendary Space Ranger on an intergalactic adventure.

Michael Jarvis, Head of Marketing at Albert Bartlett, added: “We’re delighted to be working with Disney and Pixar to bring some fun to the fresh potato category. We’re definitely a fan of an on-pack promotion here at Albert Bartlett and can’t think of a better movie to showcase on our packs, especially after the success of our Toy Story 4 activity in 2019.

“We’re confident the packs will perform well in the market, particularly with all of the publicity around the movie. Two very lucky families are in for the trip of a lifetime.”

The promotion will be supported with a video advert across digital channels, showcasing footage from Albert Bartlett’s recent TV commercial and the Lightyear trailer. The advert will also be posted across social media.

This is the second of Albert Bartlett’s on-pack promotions this year. In January, the brand offered free sports sessions across the UK for anyone who purchased a pack of Original Rooster Potatoes. In 2019, Albert Bartlett marked the release of Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story 4 with an on-pack promotion offering money-can’t-buy prizes.
