Lancashire Tea and Farm Yard Brew Co. raise a third glass to Lancashire Day with their limited-edition pale ale

It’s become a Lancashire Day tradition and this year it’s back for a third time! Lancashire Tea and the Farm Yard Brew Co. are once again teaming up to release ‘Ooh Ahh Lancashire’ (4.2% ABV), a limited-edition pale ale and the only beer made with real Lancashire Tea.

Brewed with loose leaf Lancashire Tea, it’s a classic pale ale that balances a subtle bitterness with the fruit and floral notes of the hops. Best served chilled, it will be available in cans from selected Booths stores in the run-up to Lancashire Day on 27th November, so proud Lancastrians can stock up before it’s gone.

Originally developed to complement the taste of the region’s water, Lancashire Tea is one of the fastest-growing tea brands in the UK, with a loyal following of tea-trustees who want a great cuppa at a good price.

The Farm Yard Brew Co. was born in 2016 in Cockerham on a farm that has been in the family for five generations. The farm now houses a 400,000 litre brew plant with a large range of beers and a taproom where visitors can enjoy a pint while watching the brewing process.

“When people ask for something again, you listen. Three years in, this collaboration has become part of how Lancashire celebrates its day and every year we get to see how far a good brew can travel. It’s a real pleasure to be raising a glass with the Farm Yard team again,” said Matthew Gregory, Head of Commercial, Lancashire Tea.

Danny Ellidge, Exec Director of Farm Yard Brew Co. said: “We never expected a pale ale made with tea to become an annual tradition, but here we are! Each year customers tell us they want more, so we’re delighted to be back on the shelves at Booths for a third time.”
