tight-groupIt is no surprise that Tims Dairy are feeling very pleased with the growth of their retail range of yogurts launched in May this year. With a fantastic summer building up stockists for the new range they are now set to launch with Ocado in January 2010.

The range, which was a recent diamond finalist at the Gramia packaging awards, has grown in popularity with its excellent shelf presence and exceptional taste. “We created the range with today’s consumer in mind, building on our 60 years of passion and expertise in yogurt making, to produce fresh, live yogurt made with only natural ingredients and whole milk” said Chris Timotheou, Managing Director of the family business.

Tims Dairy is fully behind the range and is always happy to receive trade enquiries from delicatessens, independent stores, farm shops and food halls. Stockists are supported with POS material, a strong website presence and in-store sampling sessions. The Dairy also helps to promote the range by attending local farmers’ markets, food fairs, shows and events, where the emphasis is on sampling and talking with the consumer.

The delicious range includes Greek style yogurts, low fat yogurts and wholemilk yogurts in fruit variants with a total of 13 SKU’s. All of the yogurts are live and the Greek style yogurts are bio-live. The packaging tells the story of Tims Dairy and their Greek family heritage. Each cardboard outer wrapper has information, interesting facts and memories from the past on the inside, adding an extra dimension to the yogurt eating experience.

Tims Dairy is a family run business which started in 1949. Specialising in making yogurts and cultured creams, their experience and knowledge of making premium products is complemented by a passion for yogurts and continuous attention to ensuring high quality and taste.

The Dairy is based in Chalfont St Peter, Buckinghamshire, and the range offers a ‘locally made’ option for many stockists. With the tag line of “Good Food from the Heart of the Chilterns” the passion has always been to give the local population a chance to be able to purchase their yogurts from a local stockist. “This new range fills a gap in the chiller cabinet and is the only locally produced yogurt in London and the Home Counties. We are very pleased with the way things are going and hope to continue building on our success so far through 2010” says Chris Timotheou.
