Cauldron™, the UK’s No. 1 plant based brand in chilled meat free*1, will be sponsoring National Vegetarian Week in May, to inspire shoppers into making a positive change for their health and the heath of the planet.

Cauldron will be teaming up with renowned comedian, writer and national treasure, Stephen Fry, who will cook up three classic meals made with plant based ingredients: Cauldron Tofu Fish N Chips, Cauldron Tofu Rogan Josh and Cauldron Lincolnshire Bangers & Mash.

“We are so excited to be partnering with the Vegetarian Society to sponsor National Vegetarian Week for 2020. Now more than ever, we are focused on doing our bit to help shoppers to discover that plant based diets can be easy, quick and delicious, with the added benefit of looking after the planet,” says Andrea Harburn, Cauldron Brand Manager.

Running from 11th-27th May, the national campaign will raise awareness of meat free diets as the Vegetarian Society encourages people to ‘’Eat to Beat Climate Change’’ by trying vegetarian and vegan food at home. The theme this year is Classic Meals and aims to show consumers how their favourite meals can be equally delicious and enjoyable using plant based ingredients.

“Our goal has always been to try and encourage shoppers to make more sustainable food choices by following a plant based diet. Sponsoring National Vegetarian Week gives us an even bigger platform to educate consumers on the versatility, nutrition and tastiness that Cauldron products provide,” adds Andrea.

Stephen Fry said: “I think it’s fair to say that there’s never been a better time to try cutting out meat and living a plant-based life. I’ve found it good for health and energy, and if we all joined in… well, wouldn’t the planet be pleased?!”

Lynne Elliot, Chief Executive at the Vegetarian Society, added: “National Vegetarian Week is a great opportunity to get more shoppers interested in the benefits of a vegetarian diet and eating more plant based meals. We’re so pleased to have Cauldron sponsoring the week and we’re looking forward to sharing their delicious plant based versions of classic meals, helping everyone to try more veggie food/eat to beat climate change.”

The 2020 campaign is set to reach 46M*2 consumers, so we are encouraging retailers to stock up on Cauldron’s core range of Tofu, Falafels and Sausages and try to ensure 100% availability on shelf, in order to make the most of the opportunity.

Retailers looking for more information on stocking Cauldron, should contact customer.services@cauldronfoods.co.uk.
