Rolling into freezers nationwide, the new Moo-phoria family has been designed to tap into the growing trend for low-calorie ice cream[1] by offering consumers a lighter treat, without compromising on taste. The new range gives flavour fans all the chunks and swirls they know and love from Ben & Jerry’s, but with 60- 65% less fat and 35-36% fewer calories per portion than similar ice cream products on the market.
Christina Dunn, Ben & Jerry’s UK Country Business Lead, commented: “We try to offer something for everyone at Ben & Jerry’s, so we’re excited to have an incredible new option for ice cream lovers who like to indulge less often. Containing only 128-132 calories per serving and full of all the wonderful chunks and swirls that fans adore, Moo-phoria is the lightest way to enjoy Ben & Jerry’s and we expect it to be a huge success.”
Like the rest of the Ben & Jerry’s range, Moo-phoria uses Fairtrade-certified ingredients and is available in two irresistible flavours for fans to dig their spoons into:
- Chocolate Cookie Dough, featuring decadent chocolate ice cream with chunks of chocolate chip cookie dough. 132 calories per 100ml serving
- Caramel Cookie Fix – the sweet and salty combination of vanilla ice cream with a salted caramel swirl and shortbread cookies. 128 calories per 100ml serving
Moo-phoria’s packaging is clearly labelled with calories per portion and Fairtrade messaging, with a new lighter shade of blue to differentiate the range. The new flavours also include a visual which shows the delicious layers of chunks and swirls inside each Moo-phoria tub.
New Ben & Jerry’s Moo-phoria light ice cream has an RRP of £4.60*.
