Continuing to cement its position as the world’s no.1 made fresh at home yogurt brand, EasiYo is bringing production to the UK and Ireland delivering significant environmental benefit while supporting the local economy.

EasiYo is partnering with Ornua Nutrition Ingredients (ONI), a leading supplier of high quality nutrition ingredients owned by a subsidiary of the €2.5 billion Irish agri-food cooperative Ornua, to source sustainable (SDAS) milk, from grass-fed Irish cows to make its delicious homemade yogurt.

EasiYo’s winning formula will now be produced from a a state of the art UK BRC approved production facility in Leek, Staffordshire, creating 20 new jobs to oversee production.

The move to UK Production will remove the need for 200 containers to be shipped each year from New Zealand, resulting in a significant reduction in EasiYo’s carbon footprint.

EasiYo’s new UK Head Office and distribution centre, based in Derby, will manage all EU distribution resulting in the investment of several senior hires creating a management team focused on driving the business’ European growth targets.

EasiYo believe that the UK and EU markets present a huge opportunity for them. Its yogurt makers are in 30% of homes in New Zealand and EasiYo aims to establish the same loyal customer base in the UK and EU where the market is relatively untapped.

In the UK and EU markets, EasiYo is currently in less than 1% of homes, providing a multimillionpound opportunity for the business to tap into the growing trend of people who love to make fresh wholesome food at home.

Arnaud Glenton, General Manager UK & Europe for EasiYo said: “Bringing production across from New Zealand into the UK and Europe allows us to be much closer to both our consumers and retailers and bring the brand more in line with local trends.” UK and Irish production has started on key products and EasiYo is expected to be producing all UK and EU yogurt sachets in the UK by 2017.

Incredibly easy to use and store, each sachet of EasiYo contains the exact combination of milk powder and unique cultures you need to make fresh yogurt at home. Simply mix an EasiYo ingredients sachet with water, put it in the EasiYo

Yogurt Maker and leave it to ferment for 8-12 hours to create 1kg of thick, delicious tasting yogurt. Because EasiYo is made fresh in the home, there are no artificial colours or flavours and no thickeners, delivering all the benefits of homemade goodness. EasiYo is also gluten free and vegetarian.

There are over 30 flavours to choose from including Natural, Greek Style, Banana, Strawberry, Greek Style Coconut & Bits and everyone’s favourite Vanilla. The EasiYo range is stocked at Lakeland, Holland & Barrett, The Range, QVC and online at www.easiyo.com.
