New hot snacking brand Taste Inc. continues to shake up the microwave snacks market after securing its first national listing. The new brand will be rolling out five of its hero products to Morrisons stores across the UK from 1st July.

CHICK-&-CHORIZO-SUB

The CP Foods UK-owned brand launched in the convenience sector through chilled & fresh distributor Kerryfresh in April and has seen strong sales of its range of sandwiches, subs, burgers and baguettes.

Morrisons has confirmed it will be stocking Taste Inc.’s Chicken and Chorizo Baguette, BBQ Chicken Sandwich, Piri Piri Chicken Sandwich, Southern Fried Chicken Sub and a Flamin’ Chicken Sandwich. All products will be priced at £1.89.

Talking about the new listing Aileen Wood, Buyer at Morrisons said “The hot snacking market continues to be a big growth area with time-poor consumers looking for simple but tasty snacking options. We’ve been looking for something new to offer our customers and Taste Inc. offers a great combination of low calorie, vibrant packaging and incredible flavours which have wide appeal.”

Chris Wenham, Commercial & Marketing Head at Taste Inc. said: “We’ve worked hard to produce a range of products that will shake up the microwave snacking market. Our research shows that ingredients and nutritional information are increasingly important to consumers. All five products stocked at Morrisons are under 410 calories, contain 100% whole chicken fillet and use exciting on-trend flavour profiles, really helping set them apart from microwavable snacks already in the market.”

The new microwave snacking brand is part of a multi-million pound investment programme of growth by CP Foods UK, including an extension to its Newmarket factory which will produce Taste Inc.

Taste Inc. will launch with a range of special offers and be supported by an extensive programme of marketing and PR.
