He will report into Charlie Dixon, Chief Operating officer.
Yem joins from plant based food brand THIS, where he was Senior Technical Manager, leading the technical agenda across food safety, quality and compliance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Commenting on his appointment Yem said: “The Flava People is entering a really dynamic period and I’m delighted to be joining such an innovative business at a time when technical excellence is so central to the company’s growth plans. I look forward to working with the team to help accelerate progress in this area, helping the business to deliver top quality products for consumers and customers across the UK.”
In March, The Flava People also welcomed Gareth Jones as National Account Manager – B2B. Jones has been appointed to drive growth across B2B manufacturers. Completing the trio of new appointments, Georgia Carter has joined The Flava People as National Account Manager, focusing on managing retail and further strengthening the commercial team as the business continues to expand its footprint across retail, manufacturing and foodservice.
Carter brings with her valuable experience from previous commercial roles within the food industry, most recently at Zertus UK & Ireland. Her background gives her a strong understanding of customer needs across both operational detail and long-term strategic planning, making her a valued addition to the growing commercial team.
