UK’s first range of live cultured and naturally fermented dips launches in Sainsbury’s and Ocado
Leading UK food manufacturer, The Compleat Food Group, is expanding into the branded dips category for the first time with a trio of live cultured, naturally fermented dips from market leader, Vadasz.
The first-to-market range from the UK’s number one chilled pickles and kimchi brand includes Kimchi Houmous, Super Beet Kimchi Dip, and Garlic & Dill Pickle Dip, and has been developed to meet growing demand for healthier, flavour packed snacking options.
Vadasz Kimchi Houmous, Vadasz Super Beet Kimchi Dip and Vadasz Garlic & Dill Pickle Dip (200g each, RRP £3.50), are available in Sainsbury’s and Ocado from w/c 22nd September.
The launch follows consumer research showing that 83% of existing Pickles and Kimchi shoppers {1} would purchase Vadasz-branded dips if available. Each product is plant-based, made with 100% natural ingredients, and contains naturally fermented or live cultured and cold brined vegetables as the base, aligning with demand for functional foods and clean-label innovation.
Vadasz’s Kimchi Houmous combines chickpeas and seasoned vegetables with Vadasz’s award-winning Kimchi. Rich, creamy and perfectly balanced, it offers an umami take on a staple format, with added gut health credentials. Unlike many creamy dips, this houmous is plant-based, protein-rich and full of fibre and healthy fats.
Vadasz’s Super-Beet Kimchi Dip blends naturally fermented beetroot, red cabbage, carrot and apple with high protein, fibre-rich cannellini beans. The earthy, creamy dip pairs perfectly with wholegrain or seed crackers, or as a side with cheese boards.
Completing the trio is Vadasz’s Garlic & Dill Dip. Inspired by Vadasz’s Two-Star Great Taste Award-winning pickles, this dip combines sauerkraut, pickles and cannellini beans for a tangy, savoury profile. Topped with garlic and dill pickled cucumber, it delivers on taste and texture while retaining the nutritional benefits of cold-brined veg.

The dips are the latest additions to Vadasz’s range, following the launch of its fresh, spicy twist on traditional pickles, Vadasz Smacked Cucumbers, and its Hot & Chunky Kimchi, earlier this year.
