Soreen, the £58 million healthier snacking brand[1] owned by Samworth Brothers, has announced the appointment of Mark Hodge as Managing Director as it looks to accelerate growth in 2026 and beyond.

Mark brings two decades of experience from McCain Foods GB, where he served as Vice President of Marketing for over 12 years. During his tenure, he developed and delivered award-winning campaigns and long-term brand-building activity, with a focus on creating lasting emotional connections between the brand and its consumers, backed up with a strong record of marketing leading innovation

In his new role, Mark will focus on building on the brand’s rich legacy and leveraging its inherent nutritional credentials to tap into the evolving health and wellness agenda and meet growing consumer demand for healthier options.

Mark Hodge said: “Soreen is a brand with incredible nostalgia and heritage, and so much untapped potential. It’s a well-known brand with a unique core product that fuels my passion for brand building and innovation. I’m looking forward to making Soreen even more iconic, ensuring its success for future generations by exploring new spaces to take the brand within and beyond grocery, while championing its feel-good nutrition values as the health agenda continues to evolve, including the growing influence of GLP-1s on consumer behaviour.”

Mark succeeds outgoing Managing Director Beth Brown. Beth rejoined Soreen as MD in 2024, having previously been Marketing Director from 2014-2021.  During her time as Managing Director Beth’s leadership was instrumental in returning Soreen to growth and establishing a revitalised culture, strategy and innovation pipeline that positions the brand for long- term success.

Beth remains with Samworth Brothers, transitioning to a new role of Group Strategy Director. This role will see Beth take on responsibility for strategy across the £2billion Group, covering a wide portfolio of categories and brands.
