Asda has announced the launch of its first ever fixed price Meal Deal as part of its Food to Go offering.
The Meal Deal, which is set to replace the current 3 for 2 deal at Asda’s Food to Go counters, includes a Main, Snack & Drink for just £3.74, making it the lowest priced non-membership meal deal on the market with no loyalty cards needed to access the savings.
The best part? Asda’s £3.74 Meal Deal is also available in all 478 Asda Express stores, allowing customers to make use of the saving on-the-go for best convenience.
Using the new deal, Asda customers can now save up to a huge 50%1 in comparison to buying the items individually outside of the deal.
Allowing shoppers to choose from a wide selection of own label ‘to go’ products like an Asda Chicken and Bacon Sandwich and some Asda Apple Slices with a Toffee Dip, the meal deal also includes branded favourites like the Doritos Tangy Cheese Tortilla Grab Bag Crisps and Coca Cola Zero. All products within the food to go fixture are included in the set price, with 132 Mains, 336 Snacks and 222 Drinks to choose from.

Commenting on the launch, Amy Wotherspoon, the Buyer of Food to Go at Asda says: “At Asda, we believe great value should be available to everyone. That’s why we’re launching the new £3.74 Meal Deal that is completely open to all customers – with no app or membership required, and a big range of products to choose from so there’s something for everyone.”
Predicting to sell over 700,000 Meal Deals in the first week, Asda reveals that the current best-selling ‘main’ is the classic Asda Cheese & Onion Sandwich (£1.42), currently selling over 50,000 a week.
As well as delivering big savings in comparison to other retailers, such as being 12% cheaper than Tesco for their £4.25 no-loyalty Meal Deal, Asda confirms that all of its Meal Deals will be fully HFSS compliant ahead of the new legislation that affects multi-buy promotions.
Asda’s Meal Deal for £3.74 will be available to shop at Asda’s in-store Food to Go Counters and online from the 17th of September.
