As an unusual product to package, Unipet sought the help of long-term packaging partners, National Flexible, who were happy to bring their expertise to the project.
Making full use of National Flexible’s in house graphic designers, the layout for the artwork was quickly drafted and made ready for printing on the latest state-of-the art Flexographic printing press.
Thanks to National Flexible’s unique strategy of holding bulk quantities of base film for printing, slitting and lamination, the order was turned around in a fraction of the lead times quoted by other film companies – in plenty of time to meet the deadline required to distribute the product through Unipet’s supply chain network of wholesalers and retailers.
“National Flexible really helped me to get this project up & running” said Unipet’s new product development manager, Andrew Ball. “Their stock management system means that I don’t have to worry about lead times for the packaging anymore”, he added.
