Little Waitrose Oxted has reopened the doors of its Station Road East store following a multi-million pound refurbishment designed to deliver the very best experience for customers.

The five week transformation brings a host of new features and improvements to the branch, which will celebrate its 16th anniversary next month (November 2025). Relaunching at 8am on Thursday 9th October, Little Waitrose Oxted is primed and ready to provide customers with their fresh top up shop and dinner from food lovers’ favourite – Waitrose No. 1, as well as a full pantry restock.

Branch Manager, Louise Johnson, who leads a team of 58 Partners at Little Waitrose Oxted, said: “It is my great pleasure to unveil our refreshed shop and welcome back our customers who have waited patiently for the work to be completed. We’re ready to once again provide you with the very best food and customer service and can’t wait to hear what you think. And a huge thanks must go to our team who have worked so hard to deliver the changes.”

Highlights of the multi-million pound investment include:

·  New Look Bakery and Improved Fruit & Vegetables Section

·  Increased Beer & Lager Offer: an even wider selection, including low and alcohol free options.

·  Expanded Food to Go: more sandwiches and lunchtime choices.

·  New Refrigeration: replaced for improved energy efficiency.

·  Self Service Tills as well as staffed checkout: to provide greater choice.

Local customers will again be able to pick up John Lewis and Waitrose Entertaining orders in store, as well as order home delivery from the shop using Deliveroo, and from 30th October, Just Eat.

The first shoppers through the doors will be greeted with the gift of a free tote bag for their groceries.

Nationwide Investment

Waitrose is investing in every shop nationwide, from refurbishments to new openings. The £1 billion, multi-year programme is designed to offer the very best products, service and shops for customers.

Over the past fortnight, Waitrose has opened two brand new Little Waitrose shops – at The Arches, Bristol and Wandsworth New Acres – with a multitude of store transformations still to come.

The retailer has also announced a new 360,000 sq ft distribution centre at Mountpark’s Bristol 360 which will deliver to around 50 current Waitrose shops, with the capacity to accommodate more. In addition, in 2027, Waitrose’s first new full-line supermarket for seven years will open at Brabazon, an award-winning new town in Bristol. The 30,000 sq ft store will create around 150 new jobs.
