Altruistiq has been selected by leading UK producer of natural source waters, Highland Spring Group, to deliver product carbon footprinting technology. This is part of the Group’s commitment to decarbonising its operations from source to shelf.
The three-year agreement will run from 30 June 2025 to 29 June 2028. It will see Highland Spring Group adopt Altruistiq’s Product Footprinting module to calculate cradle-to-gate carbon footprints across hundreds of SKUs with real-time data, providing greater accuracy and scalability.
By implementing Altruistiq’s solution, Highland Spring Group will establish a live emissions baseline and build interactive dashboards. These insights will directly inform procurement, packaging and investment decisions, while also strengthening compliance with forthcoming regulation such as the Deposit Return Scheme (DRS).
Highland Spring Group selected Altruistiq for its ability to provide intuitive, ISO-assured footprinting at scale. The platform allows the business to model the impact of packaging, transport and supply chain changes dynamically, supporting both operational decision-making and external stakeholder scrutiny.
Imogen Hammond-Williams, Enterprise Account Executive at Altruistiq, commented: “We are delighted to partner with Highland Spring Group to embed product footprinting into everyday business processes. Our technology enables organisations to move from one-off assessments to dynamic modelling at scale, giving them the tools to meet their Net Zero targets while maintaining commercial agility.”
Emily Bond, Head of Sustainability at Highland Spring Group, added:
“Partnering with Altruistiq represents a significant step forward in our journey to reduce emissions across our entire operations from source to shelf.. Their platform enables us to understand emissions at SKU level and apply that knowledge directly to decisions on packaging, procurement and operations. This partnership will support our decarbonisation roadmap while ensuring we meet the needs of our customers, regulators and stakeholders.”
The partnership includes implementation services, data migration and staff training, with a strategic review planned in 2026 to align further opportunities to extend the partnership with Altruistiq.
