Morrisons has slashed the prices of its Christmas dinner veg, helping customers to enjoy the festive trimmings at cut prices, not portions.
More Card holders can pick-up the festive field favourites for less including British Carrots (1kg), British Parsnips (500g), British Brussel Sprouts (500g) and British Whole Swede for just 5p each from 18th December until 26th December.
Furthermore, all shoppers can bag a Christmas bargain with Morrisons British Best Roasting Potatoes (1.5kg) for better than half-price in store now, costing £1 until 26th December.
Morrisons has announced that its festive vegetable offer has been developed in close collaboration with UK farmers, ensuring that seasonal savings are delivered without compromising the price paid to producers. By protecting farmgate prices while reducing the cost for customers, Morrisons reaffirms its commitment to providing exceptional value during the Christmas period, alongside its dedication to quality, fairness and strong partnerships with British farmers and suppliers.
Customers can count on Morrisons to provide fresh, quality produce at great value, as the retailer is British farming’s biggest direct supermarket customer. Morrisons was the first UK retailer to create a ‘For Famers’ range of milk, cream, cheese and eggs which has now raised over £25 million and gives back directly to farmers. In a further show of support for the nation’s growers and producers it also gives all of its farmers a five per cent discount in-store and online. Its ‘Tractor Tuesdays’ initiative gives farmers 25 per cent off its Café menu on a Tuesday and helps to make the farming industry more visible to customers shopping for the food they produce.
Fraser Lovatt, Market Street Director at Morrisons, said: “We work directly with British farmers and growers all year round to bring our customers the freshest, highest-quality British produce. From sprouts to spuds, seasonal veg are at the heart of the Christmas dinner plate and we’re proud to help our customers enjoy them for less, while continuing to champion and support the British farmers who grow them.”
The festive basket savings continue as Morrisons has also cut the cost of other seasonal favourites. Customers can save 50% on Market Street Whole Salmon, on offer at just £7.95/kg (usually £16/kg) from now until 24th December in-store nationwide. Mince pie fans can also enjoy half price savings on The Best Cherry Bakewell Mince Pies, The Best Apple Crumble Mince Pies and The Best Mini Mince Pies – all now at £1.75, right up until Christmas.
